Urban centers
- Shijiazhuang - Capital and major center of the province, Shijiazhuang has interesting places such as Zhengding (15 km from the center) is Zhao Xian with temples and pagodas.
- Baoding - Located almost halfway between Beijing and Shijiazhuang.
- Cangzhou (沧州; Cāngzhōu) - Heavily industrial city immediately south of Tianjin (Tianjin).
- Chengde - Chengde, located about 240 km northeast of Beijing, is renowned for its palace which was the summer residence of the Quing emperors in the 18th century and which earned it its inclusion in the list UNESCO of the World Heritage Sites. Coevo is a complex of 8 magnificent temples located on the edge of the vast park that surrounds the summer palace.
