background

The Hessenpark is the central Hessian open-air museum founded in 1974, which preserves buildings from the past that are worth preserving. In more than 100 buildings, from a North Hessian manor house, a Central Hessian day laborer's house to a South Hessian inn, you can see and follow the rural development of Hesse over the last 400 years in several assemblies. It is worth going on a journey of discovery and learning about the Hessian ancestors lived and under what, not always easy, conditions they worked. One can explore the village life of earlier times.
