Inside the Saalburg there is a bistro with specialties that are based on ancient Roman food. You can try Roman-seasoned sausages, bread with cream cheese and mushrooms prepared in honey. There is also the Roman spiced wine "Mulsum" to try and also to buy in bottles to take away. The specialties may take a bit of getting used to, but are very tasty if you allow yourself to get used to the unusual seasoning.
