activities

Hinterriß is located in the scenic, approx. 30 km long Riss valley. The only other larger settlement besides Hinterriß is the Almsiedlung in the Eng. Unfortunately there is in the Riss valley no continuous valley hiking trail. It is possible to use the partly heavily trafficked toll road on foot, but it is not a holiday pleasure. The road to the Großer Ahornboden is, however, a cycle route worth driving (cyclists do not pay any toll). Toll fee for cars: € 3.50 (2016).

  • Mountain biking: Hinterriss is also an ideal starting point for mountain bikers. Another insider tip is the route (also officially approved) to the Lamsenjochhütte. The most popular route for mountain bikers is the tour to the Falkenhütte. The landscape is also very beautiful, just upstairs just before the hut the sight of the Laliderewalls is a popular photo motif.
