Imola is a city with approx. 70,000 inhabitants, it is located in the region Emilia-Romagna and belongs to the metropolitan city of Bologna.

background

The city was under the name in Roman times Forum Cornelii known. It was destroyed by the Lombards in the 6th century. It was given the name when it was founded Imola.
