Tuamotu Islands are part of the French Polynesia.

About an hour flight from Papeete, the Tuamoto archipelago consists of largely untouched atolls and coral islands. Only the islands of Rangiroa, Tikehau, Manihi is Fakarava they are equipped with tourist infrastructures.

By plane
The airport runway is located on the atoll of Manihi. Air Tahiti operates frequent flights from Papeete non stop or with a stopover on the island of Rangiroa. Non-stop flight from Papeete lasts an hour and 15 minutes.
