Ivrea is a city of Piedmont.
To know
It is considered "the capital of Canavese". In 2018 it became part of the heritage ofUNESCO.
The industrial city of Ivrea was built between the years 1930 and 1960 by Adriano Olivetti. The architectural heritage, bequeathed by the factory to the city, covers 70% of the urbanized perimeter of Ivrea and constitutes an example of residential, industrial and social buildings of extraordinary quality.
Geographical notes
Bathed by the Dora Baltea river, a tributary of the Po, it is located in an area formed by a large Pleistocene glacier, which over time carried numerous debris that formed a series of morainic reliefs, including the so-called Morenica greenhouse.
