Jeseník (until 1947: Frývaldov, German: Freiwaldau) is a town in the region Olomouc (Olomouc) in Czech Republic. The city is located around 110 km north of Olomouc in the mountainous region of the Sudeten at the confluence of the Staritz (Staříč) in the Biela (Bělá). In 2019 it had around 11,200 inhabitants.

The city is located in historical Austrian Silesia (which did not come to Prussia in 1742), on the edge of the Jeseníky Mountains (Czech: Hrubý Jeseník, Hohes Gesenke), which in Altvater (Praděd) reaches an altitude of 1491 m. In the 19th century the textile industry developed in the city. After 1945 there was an extensive exchange of population. The historical fabric of the building was affected by numerous new buildings. In the 19th and 20th centuries, almost 100 springs were collected and given monuments, including one by Ludwig Schwanthaler. Jeseník has around 19,500 inhabitants (2019).

There are connections via Šumperk to Olomouc and Ostrava (Moravian-Ostrava).
