Juayua is a city of The Savior.
An attractive city with many tourist destinations, pleasant weather, places of natural beauty, waterfalls, a gastronomic festival and a variety of diversions during the weekends. Its name in the Nahuat language means "River of the Purple Orchids".

It is reached through the CA-8 highway that leads from Sonsonate to Ahuachapán, 80 km from San Salvador. By bus, take route # 249 at the Sonsonate terminal.
