Kakheti - an administrative unit (region) in the East Georgia with the capital of St. Telavi. In the north it borders with Russia, in the south and east with Azerbaijan, in the west with the regions Lower Kartlia and Mtskheta-Mtianeti. The main river of the eastern part of the region is Alazani, the western one - Iori. The inhabitants of Kakheti speak the dialect of the Georgian language
