Kaikohe is a city in the region Northland.

Kaikohe is the capital of the rural Far North District in Northland, it's the largest place in the interior of the peninsula. The city lies between volcanic hills, from which one has a good view of the surroundings. The use of geothermal energy in a power station in the neighboring town proves that volcanism has not yet completely died out here Ngawha Springs.
