Kawakawa is a city in the Bay of Islands in the region Northland.

Kawakawa is a little off the coast in the Bay of Islands. It is arguably one of the few places that owes its fame to a toilet. The artist Friedrich Hundertwasser spent the last years of his life here and designed this famous little place.
