trips
- Kalbarri National Park - The national park is one of the better known in Western Australia and essentially consists of the canyon that the Murchison River has created over the millennia. However, the Murchison River does not carry water all year round but is heavily dependent on rainfalls and storms, the water level can fluctuate between zero and 7 m. In the canyon, however, there is at least residual water mostly all year round. Since June 2020 the 1 Kalbarri Skywalk a new attraction in the national park, from two overhanging platforms you have a breathtaking view 100 m above the river.
Danger: The heat warnings regarding the park should be taken seriously, the temperatures there can be up to 10 degrees higher than in Kalbarri, which means that the 40 degree mark is easily cracked in warm weather, there is then a real and high risk of dehydration and Heat stroke. The entrance fee is 15 AUD / car (as of 11/2019).
