Kaluga (Russian: Калу́га) is a russian City on the Oka. It is the capital of the oblast Kaluga and is located about 190 km southwest of Moscow.

The city of Kaluga originated in the 14th century as a border fortress of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Under the tsar Peter I. Several factories emerged and the city developed into a trading city.
