Tourist Attractions
Due to the slow urban development, most of the sights date from the Art Nouveau period. The most famous Hungarian architect of this epoch, Ödön Lechner, created the town hall (1893-1896) that set the style for the whole of Hungary. The Palais Cifra ("Cifrapalota") deserves special mention from the series of representative citizen palaces. In the latter, various exhibitions find a temporary home.
