Heves County - a county in the north-east Hungary.
The northern part of the county lies within the North Hungarian Highlands, including the Mátra Mountains with the foothills, the western part of the Bükk Mountains with the foothills and the depression of the Tarna and Laskó rivers separating them. The southern part of the county covers the Heves plain in the area of the Danube-Tisza Miedzyrzecz and extends to the Tisza. Within the county there is a large artificial reservoir Tisza on the Tisza.
