Kotka (Finnish kotka - eagle) is one at the mouth of the Kymijoki port city located in the Gulf of Finland in Southern Finland.

Kotka has about 55,000 inhabitants and is divided into two centers, one on the island of Kotkansaari and the other in Karhula on the mainland. The Kotka Harbor on the island of Mussalo is one of the largest export ports in Finland. The cityscape is strongly shaped by the flowing Kymijoki River and the archipelago-rich Baltic Sea.
