Küstriner foreland

The community Küstriner foreland is located in the Lebuser Land on the west bank of Or in the state of Brandenburg. The community was formed in 1998 from the previously independent towns of Gorgast, Küstrin-Kietz and Manschnow.

Küstriner Vorland is a municipality that today is made up of several historical villages. The place Küstrin-Kietz was a district of the divided by the Oder border after the Second World War into a Polish and a German part Küstrin. The polish part, Kostrzyn nad Odrą, is today the most important neighboring town of Küstriner Vorland.

By train

With the regional train from the train station Berlin-Lichtenberg to Küstrin-Kietz (every hour, travel time 60 - 70 minutes)

By car

From Berlin, the B 1 federal road leads directly to Küstrin-Kietz. From Frankfurt (Oder) the B 112 leads into the Küstriner foreland. Coming from the south and west, you can take the A 12 bis Fürstenwalde (East) take, from there it continues on country roads. From Kostrzyn, Poland, it is possible to cross the border on the large road bridge over the Oder.

By bicycle

The leads through Küstrin-Kietz Oder-Neisse cycle pathwho deals with the European cycle route R1 or EuroVelo 2 (Berlin – Posen – Warsaw) crosses.
