La Aldea de San Nicolás, also known by its former official name San Nicolás de Tolentino, is located in the west of the island of Gran Canaria. When you get closer to the place, the first thing you notice are the huge greenhouses under which tomatoes, eggplants, avocados and other fruits are grown. The port is located on the coast about three kilometers away Puerto de la Aldea.
