La Graciosa is a minor island in the archipelago of Canary Islands.
To know
La Graciosa together with the tiny islands of Montaña Clara, Roque del Este, Roque del Oeste and Alegranza, form the Chinijo Archipelago, which is located north of Lanzarote, on which it administratively depends and from which it is separated by a strip of sea called El Río.
Geographical notes
The island is of volcanic origin, like the entire Canary archipelago. It is characterized by beautiful beaches beaten by the Atlantic. The interior of the island is mainly desert. The highest peaks are made up of volcanic cones whose maximum height is 266 m in the Las Agujas peak.

The climate is distinguished above all by the scarcity of rains.
Background
La Graciosa is the first island on which the Norman explorer Juan de Bethencourt landed peacefully, under the banner of Henry III of Castile in June 1402.

By plane
It is not possible to reach the island by plane.
The only way to access the island is the sea, by means of a mainly tourist service of small boats that shuttle between the port of Orzola, located in the north-west of the island of Lanzarote, and the small port of Caleta del Sebo mainly equipped for fishing

The urban road network is not paved, after all, only a few dozen jeeps circulate on the island.
