The resort Langebaan is located on the West coast at the lagoon of the same name.
One of the main attractions of Langebaan is the West Coast National Park and the beautiful Langebaan Lagoon. The lagoon is one of the main water sports areas for Cape Town residents. This includes sailing, surfing, water skiing and fishing. Everything in the protection of the bay and lagoon, so that you are not directly exposed to the hard Atlantic.

You can reach this place from Cape Town Coming via the R27 driving north. Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. This makes Langebaan worth a day trip as well as a longer stay.

When it comes to gastronomy, Langebaan also has the right thing for every budget. Under no circumstances should you miss out on eating fresh fish from the Atlantic. With a bit of luck you can get perlemon, a shell that is rarely found on the menu today.
Those who prefer upscale cuisine are in very good hands at The Farmhouse mentioned above. In addition to specialties from the West Coast and South Africa, the kitchen there also offers international cuisine.
There are two bars and restaurants on the main beach in Langebaan's town center. The following are very popular here:
- Pearly's restaurant
- Strandloper. A very simple restaurant by the name of Strandloper, located on the beach, achieved particular fame. This open-air fish restaurant offers everything the sea has to offer, from mussels and lobster to all kinds of fish.
- Club Mykonos. Club Mykonos offers the possibility of a Greek restaurant, or what one imagines as Greek in South Africa.

In the last few years in particular, the resort has been expanded and expanded enormously. New holiday home areas and apartment complexes were built. There are also pensions and a campsite available.
- The farmhouse. One of the long-established hotels is The Farmhouse, located on a hillside. It's housed in old farm buildings and newer additions. A small pool and a beautiful garden invite you to linger. From here you have a very nice view of the lagoon.
- Club Mykonos. The Club Mykonos holiday complex is located a bit outside. This system, built in the Greek style, is particularly popular with South Africans.
- Calypso Villas. The Calypso Villas are located directly on the bay. You walk only 30 meters on a small path and stand at the water's edge.
