By plane
Livingstone Airport
- 1 Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (IATA: LVI). As of 2019 the following companies were operating there:
- Airlink - From Nelspruit.
- British Airways - From Johannesburg- O.R. Tambo.
- Ethiopian Airlines - From Addis Ababa, Gaborone.
- Kenya Airways - From Cape Town, Nairobi–Jomo Kenyatta.
- Proflight Zambia - From Kalabo, Lusaka.
- South African Airways - From Johannesburg–O.R. Tambo.
- The transfer to the center is done by taxi. Prices vary somewhat. You can request one from your hotel.
On the train
- 2 Livingstone Station. Once a week a train connects Livingstone to Kitwe Street Lusaka. The journey takes about 12 hours. Berths are available. The service is managed by Zambia Railways.
By bus
- From Lusaka - Various bus lines connect Livingstone with Lusaka. One of them is Mazhandu Family Bus. It is advisable to purchase tickets the day before departure. The office is a kiosk on Mosi-Oa-Tunya Rd. Several minibuses operate on the same route but the journey by these means is quite uncomfortable due to the inability to stretch the legs. Normally the minibuses take 6 hours and more to cover the distance between the two centers (about 470 km).
- From Namibia - Since the service of the Intercape lines is discontinuous, the only solution is to take a minibus from the border post of 3 Katima Mulilo.
