Macau is a city of China.
To know
Macau has made great strides in tourism: in 2007 it was visited by 27 million tourists, a number that appears tenfold when comparing the data of the previous decade.
Its tourist fortunes were determined by the opening of casinos and numerous gambling halls. 90% of its tourists are nationals Chinese, all attracted to gambling.

- 1 Macau International Airport. With an airstrip built on the sea specifically to accommodate flights, this airport unfortunately does not welcome any flights from the city European much less Italian. At Hong Kong International Airport, just about sixty kilometers away, flights from Europe are frequent. From here you will then have to embark on one of the ferries that shuttle between the two ports.
By car
Macau can be reached via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, which was officially inaugurated in 2018.
Ferries run from 07:00 until 24:00. The crossing takes just over an hour. They sail from the "Shun Tak" shopping center in the central district of Sheung Wan but also from the Tsim Sha Tsui pier in Kowloon. The price of a ticket is 159HK $ (August 2013) and can be bought at the ticket office near the gate boarding. The sale ends a few minutes before departure, however it is possible to buy last minute tickets from the staff who are nearby and sometimes (for reasons that are not entirely clear) the price can be even lower.
More information on the website of the shipping company "Turbojet".
How to get around
By public transport
Public transport is not particularly developed. Unlike the neighbor Hong Kong, in Macau you drive on the left and the traffic is chaotic due to the large number of motorcycles.
