Malanville is a city of Northern Benin.
To know
Malanville is a dusty border town on the Niger River locally known as a center of trade. The main attraction is the large market which is busiest on Fridays and Saturdays. Other attractions include the river itself where pirogue rides can be taken for a small fee (1,000 CFA).
Malanville has an extremely heterogeneous population such as a large Muslim community, an equally large Christian community, as well as practitioners of other religions. There are talking people Arabic, French and other local languages. Despite the differences that exist between these groups, they live side by side in peace, sharing the responsibilities of engaging in the public sector.
The population of Malanville is largely employed in agricultural activities, but the tourism sector is growing as the border with the Niger allows tourists to visit the National Park W, a nature reserve with elephants, giraffes etc. Hotels and restaurants are starting to develop thanks to this high level tourism.
