The Malxeland lies southwest of Forst and includes some villages around the Malxe.

- Jethe (Jaty), Simmersdorf (Žymjerojce), Gahry (Gari) and Mattendorf (Matyjojce) are centrally located on and to the left of the Malxe.
- On the eastern edge one finds Groß Schacksdorf (Tšěšojce), Jocksdorf (Kosmejce).

The Malxeland can be easily reached and explored by bike. Two Lusatian long-distance cycle paths touch the region.

The bicycle is one of the best ways to explore the rural region. There are sometimes separate cycle paths between the towns. Part of it has to be done on the public road, but the car traffic is only moderate.

- Gross Schacksdorf Church, At the Aue 22. Late Gothic building from the end of the 14th to the beginning of the 15th century, the tower was added from 1719 to 1721. Much of the interior was destroyed in World War II.

- Jocksdorf monkey enclosure. Tel.: 49(0)35695-7183, Fax: (0)35695-97495, Email: [email protected]. is a popular destination for hikers and cyclists. The jungle snack bar is part of the monkey enclosure and invites you to take a break.
- The Park Schloss Trebendorf. lies between the places Trebendorf, Gahry and Mattendorf and also houses the burial place of the former castle owner.

- There is an old gravel pit on the northern edge of the village of Jethe. Even if it's not public, the locals still like to use the lake as a Swimming visited.
- Part of the Malxeland is characterized by earlier mining in the Muskau Arch, which is adjacent to the south. The local cycle path Old mining tour touches Jocksdorf and tells a lot about the former mining industry on display boards.
- Friends of Bowling can visit the Hotel Marco Polo in Jethe. This offers a bowling alley.
