It can be accessed on foot only.
  • Whillans Flat (at about 25 km northeast of Manning) – Site of 108 acres (43.7 haand) suitable for hunting, fishing and hiking consisting of highland and hayland habitat used as a wintering area by ungulate mammals. There are deer, elk, moose, black bears, grouse and various small birds. The site is crossed by the Notikewin River in which we find pike, walleye and arctic grayling. Only use during the day is permitted and open fires are prohibited. Permission must be obtained from landowners before crossing private land in order to get there.
