  • Mecklenburg Baltic Sea coast - Region by the sea from the Traveförde to Ribnitz; this includes the Wismar Bay with the Hanseatic city Wismar and island Poel, the Salzhaff, the cooling and the overseas port city and largest city in the country Rostock
  • Mecklenburg-Schwerin - the south-west of the country with the capital Schwerin, the "Mecklenburg Versailles" Ludwigslust and wooded heath landscape
  • Mecklenburg Switzerland - slightly hilly landscape with unspoilt nature, numerous castles and manor houses; joins the Mecklenburg Lake District to the north.
  • Mecklenburg Lake District - Lake-rich area between Neubrandenburg, Waren and Neustrelitz. This also includes the Feldberg lake landscape to the east.
