Mechau plateau

The Mierzawa is an approx. 65 km long tributary of the Nida in the southwest Poland in the voivodships Lesser Poland and Holy Cross. The river is very popular with canoeists and sports anglers.

Run

The river rises at Miechów on the Mechau plateau and flows eastwards to the Nida, where it enters it in the Nida basin flows out. The Mierzawa empties not far from Chęciny.
