Mladá Boleslav (German: Jungbunzlau) is a city in the north of the region Central Bohemia in Czech Republic. The city, known for its automobile construction, is located 54 km northeast of Prague on the left bank of the Jizera (German: Iser) at the confluence of the Klenice coming from the northeast.

Made in the second half of the 10th century by Prince Boleslav the Pious founded castle formed the core of the urban development. In the 16th century, Mladá Boleslav became a center of the Bohemian Brethren, who founded a diocese here, but recatholization took place as early as the 17th century. With industrialization, the automotive industry developed (today Škoda Auto a.s., now part of the VW Group). The city has around 44,500 inhabitants (2019).

By plane
The nearest airport is that Airport West of Prague. Driving through Prague by car is not easy until the Prague D0 ring road is completed.
By train
The town, Central Station (hlavní n., just outside the west) is from Prague (Praha Masarykovo station) can be reached by train in around an hour and a quarter (express train towards Tanvald). The City train station is in the northeast of the center.
In the street
Mladá Boleslav is from Prague than from across the highway Dálnice 10 reached; from exit 44 it is around 3 km to the center. From direction Dresden you can reach the city via the D8, from which you change to Dálnice 10 on the northern outskirts of Prague, alternatively, if you want to bypass the greater Prague area, take exit 18 Nová Ves and continue on the State Road 16 above Melnik.

The Jizera is not navigable, but the Elbe and Moldau are.
