By car

Of Charleville-Mezieres, there are two possibilities to reach Monthermé:

  • The departmental road D1 (Meuse Valley road) via Nouzonville and Bogny-sur-Meuse. It allows to join Revin, Rocroi, Fumay, Haybes and Givet from the north.
  • The departmental road D989 : faster. It also allows you to reach the hamlets of Woieries and Hauts-Buttés, which are part of Monthermé. Hargnies and Vireux-Wallerand are also accessible.

The departmental road D31 (Semoy valley road) allows you to reach the Belgian border, via Les Hautes-Rivières.

By train

Circulate

Strictly speaking, there are no traffic problems in Monthermé. Motorhome owners should however be careful in the rue Pasteur, because it is narrow and is frequently used by trucks.In winter, access to the hamlets of Woiries and Hauts-Buttés (D989) can be complicated by snow and ice. Snow tires are strongly recommended.
