Munich (German Munich) is a city in the south Germany. It is the capital of Bavaria and the third largest city in Germany.
An important city in terms of economy and industry, it is also rich in sights, thanks to its almost a thousand-year history.

Munich lies on the Bavarian plateau, c. 500m above sea level. The north side of Alps is close enough.
The city is crossed by the river Isaro (Isar), a tributary of the Danube (German: Donau).
