- 1 Geierlay suspension bridge (near Mörsdorf around 10 km west of Kastellaun).
The 360 m long rope bridge was inaugurated on October 3, 2015. The footbridge is 0.85 m wide, it crosses the valley of the Mörsdorfer Bach at a height of 90 m and leads to the village Sosberg. The handrail ropes are 1.4 m apart and access to the bridge is free. The load capacity is designed for over 500 people. The construction costs amounted to € 1.2 million. Until the opening of the Titan RT in 2017 it was the longest suspension bridge in Germany.
- If you travel to Geierlay by car, you will find four quite well signposted parking spaces. Fees € 2 for 2 hours, the machine only accepts coins. There are 2 ways to Geierlay:
- the western route leads on the Geierlay loop over the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig over hill and dale mainly through the forest
- the eastern path goes on an agricultural path past the snack bar ravages through the open field.
