Kastellaun is a city in the front Hunsrück. It is the administrative seat of the association of the same name, to which 18 other smaller towns belong.
background
Whoever hears Kastellaun thinks of them first Nature One, which takes place every year on the rocket launch site Pydna south of the city and is one of the largest techno festivals in Germany. But even aside from the rave, Kastellaun is definitely a city worth seeing.

- 4 Geierlay suspension bridge (near Mörsdorf around 10 km west of Kastellaun). The 360 m long rope bridge was inaugurated on October 3, 2015. The 1.4 m wide footbridge crosses a brook valley at a height of 90 m. The construction costs amounted to € 1.2 million. Until the opening of the Titan RT in 2017 it was the longest suspension bridge in Germany.
