Navajo Nation is the name of the largest Indian reservation in the with over 170,000 inhabitants United States. The 70,000 km² territory is owned by the Navajo managed semi-autonomously and is located in the southwest the US, where it is across the states Utah, Arizona and New Mexico extends.

The closest major airports are the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in Phoenix and the Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) in Albuquerque. To get further from there, you should have your own car (rental car) available.

The shopping opportunities in and around the reservation are mostly limited to small convenience stores. If you want to stock up in the supermarket, it is well advised to plan this in advance. The only places around the reservation that have a large supermarket are: Cortez, Farmington, Gallup, Holbrook, Flagstaff and page. Within the reservation you will find supermarkets - mostly from the regional Bashas chain - in Kayenta, Pinon, Tuba City, Dilkon and Chinle. The sale and possession of alcohol is prohibited in the reservation.

Absolutely no alcohol is allowed in the reservation, not even in closed bottles. The nation has a massive problem with alcoholics, and the reservation police are pursuing violations of this territorial law without pardon.
