getting there
The Sibulan Airport serves the greater area Dumaguete City, but is, as the name suggests, in the municipality Sibulan. It is the only state-run airport in the province. Air Philippines and Cebu Pacific offer flights to several times a day Manila at.
Dumaguete City offers a seaport. Several ferries leave from there every day, e.g. to the neighboring island Siquijor. Five to six other ports are spread across the rest of the province.
mobility

Negros Oriental is very well equipped with public transport. The fastest way to get from place to place is with the yellow Ceres Bus Liner. Inexpensive, partly air-conditioned. The starting center is the bus station in Dumaguete City. Fixed bus routes to all parts of the island start from there. Driving a jeepney is even cheaper than the Ceres Bus Liner, but it is also less comfortable. There are almost no car taxis, but instead you can charter a cheap Trycyle to get around a town. A car with a driver can be chartered at Dumaguete Airport. There are very few rental car stations, most of the time you get a car without insurance. You need an international driver's license.
