Neos Panteleimonsas is a city in Pieria.

Neos Panteleimonas is a small place near the Platamon Castle. It is to the west of the castle. You can see them from here. The story of Neos Panteleimonas is interesting. Panteleimonas was destroyed by an earthquake. The inhabitants of the city then founded the new city at the foot of the mountain. From here, Panteleimonas was also repopulated. Today both localities exist.
getting there
By plane
The nearest airport is Volos (30 minutes by car), which Condor flies to from Munich once a week (Sat). The nearest airport is the international airport of Thessaloniki Airport
(IATA: SKG) . From here it takes about an hour to get to Neos Panteleimonas. It takes longer by bus.
By train
Platamon has a small train station. Here she goes S-Bahn from Athens through to Thessaloniki. Not all trains stop here. You should find out beforehand which trains also stop here. Tickets are available from a small counter at the train station. To Katerini it takes 15 minutes after Athens over 5 hours, to Thessaloniki a good hour. It doesn't take long from the train station to get to Neos Panteleiemonas.
By bus
From Thessaloniki to Neos Panteleimonas, buses depart from the Makedonia Bus Terminal. The ticket costs around EUR 9 (summer 2013), in Katarini you have to change. The whole journey takes about 90 minutes. There are two stations in Neos Panteleimonas: Paralia Panteleimonas (near the beach) and Kastro (near the castle).
The buses depart from here. There are also a few bus stops that are difficult to see. There is only a sign and when the bus comes you have to wave that the driver knows that you want to be taken.
In the street
Neos Panteleimonas is on the A1, which runs from Athens to Thessaloniki. So you can reach the village quite comfortably. But you can also get to the surrounding important villages quite quickly by car.
mobility
The best way to do everything in the village is on foot. It's not that big and you get a quick overview. Parking is a problem, like everywhere in the area, but the place isn't that big either. It is also easy to get to the castle on foot. If you want to go to the beach you pass the castle. There are beautiful views here and you are rewarded with the beach. You can take a look at the harbor and take a walk on the beach promenade.

If you're already here, you should definitely do this Platamon Castle visit, that is not far. It is almost opposite. You can also use the beach from Platamon visit, which invites you to have a swim. But even a look at Platamon itself can't do any harm. Here you will find plenty of water sports on offer, everything you need for your vacation, but also a beautiful harbor, which is best visited in the evening.

Neos Panteleimonas offers everything you want for daily life. There are supermarkets and shops from bakers to butchers. You can't go shopping here. It is not a vacation spot, even if there are quite a few hotels to be found. The best way to go shopping is to go to Thessaloniki, or who doesn't like it that far after Katerini.

But you are better served in the kitchen. Since only a few tourists get lost here, you can get really nice Greek cuisine here. It is not yet possible to look into the pot in the kitchen (you can do that in the mountain villages) but it is very nice. You eat on the street, as it should be in Greece.
nightlife
This is exactly what the nightlife looks like. Sitting in the street, just like that with a table and chairs. If someone has something to celebrate, you are automatically there, and it is difficult to avoid them.

There are a number of hotels in Neos Panteleimonas. You can hardly book them from Germany. It is not a vacation spot as we know it here. There are more simple hotels and simple rooms.
