Urban centers
- Norwich - County seat of Norfolk.
- Aylsham - The annual Aylsham Show features agricultural exhibits and takes place in August.
- Cromer - Traditional tourist resort also known for Cromer crab.
- Dereham - Famous for the "fountain of Saint Vitburga", which would have gushed suddenly in 974, on the place where the body of the saint, who died over two centuries earlier, was lying, when Brithnoth, abbot of Ely Cathedral, stole it to transport it to Ely.
- Diss - It has a number of historic buildings, including the parish church from the early 14th century.
- Great Yarmouth - With King's Lynn it was the first city in history to be hit by an aerial bombardment directed at civilians.
- Holt - In the summer, the Holt Summer Festival takes place, involving music, theater, literature, cinema and art.
- King's Lynn - River port located at the intersection of three rivers, Great Ouse, Nene and Cam.
- Sheringham - The city's carnival takes place at the beginning of August.
- Swaffham - The church of San Pietro e San Paolo is one of the few churches that have angels carved in wood instead of the stone around the top of the walls.
- Thetford - Contains the ruins of a 12th century priory.
- Wells-next-the-Sea - The North Sea is now a mile from the city, following the silting up of the port.
