Geographical notes
To the east, it is separated from Middle Caicos from the Juniper Hole, a narrow passage where only small boats can pass; and is 12 miles from Providenciales.

Urban centers
- Bottle Creek - With a population of 907, Bottle Creek is the main village on the island. It also houses several of the island's government offices, its service companies and is the high school. There are a number of old plantation areas located along King's Way between Bottle Creek and the causeway to Middle Caicos.
- Kew - This inland village is one of the oldest cities on the islands Turks and Caicos. Known for being the center of the agricultural community of the archipelago. Kew is also home to the Wades Green Plantation historic tourist site. The village has a population of 400 inhabitants.
- Sandy Point - This small village is located on the northwestern tip of the island opposite Parrot Cay. It is home to the North Caicos Yacht Club. Ferry services arrive here from Providenciales.
- Whitby - Located between the Three Mary Cays Snorkeling Area and Horsestable Beach, Whitby is a small seaside village on the north shore of North Caicos.
How to get
By plane
- 1 North Caicos Airport (IATA: NCA) (North Caicos). It is the only airport present and has no established schedule. It has a free car park and is only connected to Providenciales with charter flights of Caicos Express is interCarribean Airways.
It is the easiest and most comfortable way to reach the island.
- 2 Sandy Point Marina.
50 $ per person round trip. In fact, daily ferries are available from the port of Providenciales (Heaving Down Rock Marina (Walkin Marina)) to North Caicos lasting about 25 minutes. The companies that operate are two:
- Caribbean Cruisin ' - Offers daily ferries departing from Providenciales at the following times: Mon-Fri 6:30 am, 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm; Sun and holidays 8:30 am, 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm.
- 17:00 (Monday to Friday)
- MV My Girl Ferry Service - Offers daily ferries with a maximum capacity of 12 people departing from Providenciales at the following times: Mon-Fri 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm; Sun and holidays 8:00 and 16:30.
- Caribbean Cruisin ' - Offers daily ferries departing from Providenciales at the following times: Mon-Fri 6:30 am, 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm; Sun and holidays 8:30 am, 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm.
