getting there
Most travelers arrive in Malta by plane, from Malta International Airport in Luqa can be reached by bus to the localities in the north of Malta.
The express bus line X1 leads from the airport Luqa initially towards Valletta to the bus station from Marsa and then heading north after Mellieħa and Cirkewwa with the ferry port Gozo.
The express line X2 also runs through the Marsa interchange station and then into the communities of the Northern Harbor District Sliema and St. Julian's.
The express line X3 wrong about Paola and Birkirkara to Rabat resp. Mdina.

The easiest way to get around locally is with the vehicles of the well-developed bus network of the Maltese bus company Arriva, alternatively by taxi or by (rental) car.
For crossing from Valletta on the Marsamxett Harbor to Sliema you can use the ferry boat from the dock at St. Paul's Anglican Church.
