Okrug Donji is a village in Dalmatia. It is on the west end of the island Čiovothat the city Trogir upstream and connected to this via a busy bridge.

getting there

See Trogir. Okrug Donji is about 7 km away from Trogir. On arrival you come through the larger Okrug Gornji with various restaurants and shops.

You can get to Trogir by boat taxi for 20 kunar or by bus. One should expect that the maps handed out by the tourist information office are not entirely up-to-date. The buses sometimes leave up to 5 minutes earlier.

There is a mini market in town. This closes at 9:30 p.m.

There is a snack bar on the beach below the post office, which is open until around 10:00 p.m. in summer. The post office has been converted into a cozy restaurant with a view of the lake and live music. Also a little further is a pub, which also includes a restaurant.

There are numerous apartments in the village. Some of these are relatively cheap near the beach. Some quarters, however, require long distances to the next bay and to purchase e.g. B. fresh breakfast bread.

There are no bins on the buildings for garbage disposal, but the garbage has to be transported to the few centrally placed containers.

The place is in the approach path of the airport of Trogir, which could disturb late risers. However, flight operations are limited with perhaps 2 to 10 aircraft per hour. There is hardly any flight at night.

Please refer Trogir. There is a regular boat connection from the east of the island of Čiovo to the port of Splitthat can be easily reached in this way without having to cross Trogir.
