The locality Old Sharm or Sharm el-Qadima (Arabic:شرم القديمة‎, Sharm al-qadīma, spoken: Sharm il-ʾadīma), the old Sharm esch-Sheikh, also Old Market (Arabic:السوق القديم‎, as-Sūq al-qadīm, „the old market"), less common Downtown Sharm, is located in the east and northeast of the El-Maya Bay (Sharm el-Maya) about 6 kilometers south of the Naʿama Bay.
