Orust is a municipality in the province Bohuslan in southern Sweden and is about 50 km north of Gothenburg.

The municipality consists of the island of Orust, it is the largest island on the Swedish west coast and the third largest island in Sweden, as well as several smaller islands and skerries, called skerries. Most of the inhabitants live on Orust.

In the street

The island of Orust is connected to the mainland by two bridges.

There is a multi-part bridge system that is on the west coast of Sweden's islands Tjörn, Mjorn, Orust and Vindön connects to the mainland in the south at Stenungsund and in the north at Sundsandvik (near Uddevalla).

By boat

The island of Orust is connected to the mainland by two ferries.

By bicycle

Slussens boarding school

There is significant nightlife only during the summer season on the coast and on some islands.

It's now an institution and the artists' live performances are sold out. To be able to enjoy it, you have to book a package beforehand. There is only a three-course menu and the enjoyment of music begins with dessert. The restaurant is right on the water, with a beautiful terrace. Those who no longer want to drive can also pre-book a simple room in the guesthouse.
