The village of Orłów known since 1384, formerly a town and seat of the poviat, established at the end of the 14th century, which survived until 1867, although the Prussians moved the seat of its authorities to Kutno after the second partition. In the 15th century, it belonged to the middle-sized towns, and sent 5 armed men to the Prussian war in 1459. Three fairs were held annually, a fourth was added in 1550. There were many craftsmen, incl. blacksmiths, shoemakers, tailors, furriers and clothiers, there was also a fulling mill. It lost its city rights at the end of the 19th century.

There is a Gothic parish church from 1430, renovated many times, to this day. From the south there is a round tower with loopholes embedded in the façade. Inside, cross and stellar vaults. Large renaissance tombstones from the 16th century. The bell from 1547 is interesting.
