Otjiwarongo is a city in Central Namibia in the region Otjozondjupa. The name comes from the Herero and means pretty place or where the cattle are fat.

Otjiwarongo was founded in 1904 with the opening of the station on the railway line Swakopmund - Tsumeb founded.
