Central Namibia is primarily the area around the Namibian Capital Windhoek and extends in the north to Etosha National Park
Regions
The region belongs to central Namibia Khomas with the capital Windhoek and the western part of the region Otjozondjupa. Often one also understands this to mean the entire central part of the country including the region Erongo and the region Grandmaheke as well as part of the too South Namibia belonging region Hardap. In this article, the center is understood to mean the area between the Namib in the west and the Kalahari in the east, which lies south of the Etosha pan and which does not have a pronounced edge step, as can be found in the southern part. This area is characterized by higher rainfall than the national average. This is especially true for the Corn triangle or Otavi triangle in the northern part. It's between the cities Otavi downtown, Tsumeb in the north as well Grootfontein in the East. Arable farming is also possible here.
