Tsumeb is on the B1, she comes from Windhoek above Otjiwarongo and continues to the east gate of the Etosha National Park.

The town is characterized by mining, there is a mining museum that is church St. Barbara consecrated to the patron saint of miners.
Near the city is Otjikoto Lake, which is 120 m deep but only 100 m in diameter.
