Story

Pendjari National Park is a rich wildlife reserve covering an area of 2,750 km2 plus a buffer zone of 3000 km2. It is part of a large protected complex that spans three border countries (Benign, Niger and Burkina FasoNiamey and Ouagadougou are closer to the Pendjari than Cotonou) with the regional park W. It constitutes a main component of the transnational complex W-Arly-Pendjari Complex (WAP) from 14,948 km2, plus a buffer zone of 11,012 km2, and is one of the most remarkable tourist attractions in Benin and one of the most beautiful reserves inWest Africa. To go

By taxi (5 to 9 seats), they usually leave from the taxi station, but it is also possible to take them by the side of the track. The prices are negotiated with the driver before departure (inquire before because the prices are more or less fixed for long and medium distances). There are no timetables for taxis, the departure is when the car is full.

By mini bus, same operation as for taxis but can contain 10 to 20 passengers.

By bus, for long distances prefer coaches to taxis. The hours are defined, the seat guaranteed, the air conditioning functional (depending on the company) and the fixed price. Several private bus companies travel the country. We can cite among others: ATT, the Post office of Benin, Tundé, Confort Lines, Pax Express. Possibility to reserve your seat before departure (24 hours before).

In Cotonou, each company has its own bus station. In other cities, they are sometimes grouped together on a single site.

Note : it is not recommended to take the bus on the same day that you have to take the plane in the evening in Cotonou. Too often the coaches break down and arrive only late at night in Cotonou and can make you miss your flight Taxis and mini buses are overloaded which results in 2 people in the front passenger seat and 4 in the rear (taxi car), 4 to 5 people on the mini-bus benches, addition of additional benches in the trunk as appropriate
