Pearl is a municipality in the state Saarland, at the border triangle with Luxembourg and France, with a good 8,000 inhabitants. As the only Saarland community on the Moselle, it is also the only wine-growing community. Perl includes the districts Nennig, Borg, Besch.
getting there
By plane
The nearest commercial airports are Luxembourg (30 km northwest), Saarbrücken (75 km east) and Metz-Nancy (75 km south).
By train
Regional trains from Trier stop every hour at the Perl, Besch and Nennig train stations (journey time 45–50 minutes).
Only on Saturdays and Sundays there is a continuous, binational TER / regional express from Metz twice a day (journey time a good hour).
Coming from Saarbrücken, you have to go in Merzig change to the bus.
By bus
It consists of regular bus service Merzig to the Nennig district (lines 155 and 210, travel time around an hour).
The SaarLuxBus Line 155/159 Luxembourg – Merzig / Losheim stops at least every hour on weekdays (every half hour during peak hours) in Nennig, on Saturdays only three times a day, on Sundays not at all. Line 315 runs from Luxembourg to Perl itself in rush hour traffic (every two hours between 12 and 4 pm, every hour between 4 and 8 pm; from Perl to Luxembourg every half hour between 6 am and 8 am).
In addition, the Luxembourg bus route 185 from Mondorf and Remich stops approximately every hour in the neighboring town of Schengen. It is only 400 meters from the Schengen, Koerech and Ennen am Doref stops to the Moselle bridge to Perl.

Tourist Attractions
- 1 Palace of Nell and Baroque garden Park by Nell. The baroque garden of the park of Nell is open all year round, the palace is privately owned.
- Berg Castle with Renaissance garden - built on a hill above the town of Nennig, consists of the lower and upper castle. The upper castle was converted into a renaissance castle in later centuries and now houses a luxury hotel with a gourmet restaurant.

The "night life" is limited in Perl. There are two pubs in the Perl district and a pub in several other districts. If you are interested, you can visit the casino in Berg Castle. The best way to celebrate is to go to Luxembourg City, Saarlouis, Trier or Metz.
