Pons is a city of Charente Maritime, in the South West of France.

Camped on a rocky eminence dominating the valley of the Seugne, this medieval city is one of the main agglomerations of the south of the department.
Seat of an important seigneury under the Ancien Régime, it retains a 17th century castle from this prestigious past.e century and especially a 12th century keepe century. His hospice for pilgrims, which relieved the poor and "Jacquets" on their way to Santiago de Compostela, has been classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
