Interesting places
SannikiThe town has been known at least since the 15th century. From the beginning of the 19th century, Sanniki became the property of the Pomeranian Pruszak family. They renovated the palace and established a landscape park, established large sheepfolds, and in 1849 built a sugar factory in Sanniki. Sanniki is an interesting ethnographic enclave in Mazovia, with many separate features of traditional folk culture, costumes, equipment, construction, and is distinguished by care for the preservation of the heritage of its regional culture. But they are most famous for the fact that in 1828 an 18-year-old stayed here for two months Fryderyk Chopin during the summer holidays at the Pruszak's parents, Konstanty's parents, a school friend from the Warsaw Lyceum. The stay in Sanniki undoubtedly played a large role in the development of the composer's creative path, here he listened to many Kujawians, whose melodies he used in many of his Mazurkas. During his stay in Sanniki, he graduated Trio in G minor and recomposed Rondo in C major. There are statues of Fryderyk Chopin in the park and a commemorative plaque on the facade of the palace. The park has beautiful hornbeam and chestnut alleys and specimens of pyramidal elms. Ginkgo and plane trees also grow here.
